Uibhist a Tuath, Eilean Siar, Alba/North Uist, Western Isles, Scotland

Peter is a poet, photographer and researcher living in an ancient, ice-scoured landscape just south of the Sound of Harris, the shallow stretch of sea that bisects the Outer Hebrides archipelago off the west coast of Scotland. Here he assists with running events for the Uist Arts Association's Literature Group.

He is a graduate of the University of London and author of 'The Story of Emigration From Berneray, Harris', the Gaelic translation of which is available as a free eBook that is approaching one-thousand downloads.

Peter has published a couple of collections of his poetry as eBooks and this summer produced his poems in place project in the Lochportain peninsular of North Uist.

His poem Caolas na Hearadh/Sound of Harris from StAnza's 'Poetry Map of Scotland featured in StAnza 2015's  Archipelago of Poetry and he read the piece at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Peter is delighted to have been asked by Joanne to navigate the Outer Hebrides part of the paper boat project in the company of friends and family living around the coast of the many islands between Barra and the Butt of Lewis. He is looking forward to seeing what unfolds...
